It’s a simple step, but it makes all the difference both for before and after your cake goes into the oven.
Everybody owns a 9 by 13 inch baking can. They are classic, but they're also difficult to line with parchment paper. But what if I told you they didn't have to be? [MUSIC] Okay, whether you buy parchment paper in a roll or you buy it in sheets. You just wanna make sure that it's bigger than the pan that you're using. So just put the pan right on top. And you're only doing this so that you can kinda see where the corners line up. And you're just gonna go ahead and cut three to four inch slit right in the corner just like that, you get this two little flaps here And you're gonna do it on all four sides, and that's the trick to being able to fit it perfectly in the pan. So put your pan right onto your work surface, and then put your parchment paper right inside and kinda press it into the corners. And you'll see it kind of happens naturally. Because you created these slits, the parchment just falls right into the corners, nice and easy. evenly just like that, I mean its like magic. I'm not kidding. This is my genius ladies and gentlemen, then you just take your beautiful decadent chocolate cake batter and pour it right inside your pan. Spread it into the corners And, like any cake, I'm gonna get this in the oven. My cake is baked, my cake is cooled, now check out how cool this is. All I do is lift the parchment and my entire cake slides out that easily. It might seem too good to be true, but trust me it's that easy. [MUSIC]
